When it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts, it’s such an excuse to buy things you don’t need. It’s one of those holidays that you know is pretty much made up for businesses to push their products on you and for marketing.
With that said, I actually think it’s a nice holiday if you really think about it. It’s a day to celebrate love. It doesn’t have to be necessarily a partner, spouse or romantic relationship but a chance to think of those you love and celebrate your friendship, relationship; whatever that might be.
Whether it’s your children, parents, grandparents, aunt/uncle, friendship, you name it, it’s the opportunity to say to someone “I appreciate and care about you”.
Being that I’m an entrepreneur (and don’t have time for love right now lol), I wanted to put together a list of the items that I know that a busy entrepreneur woman like myself would absolutely love.
I know that when it comes to buying frivolous items, it’s always a nice gesture (such as flowers, candy, etc), but what I personally love (and I know tons of my entrepreneur friends love as well), are thoughtful yet functional gifts that we would love to be buying for ourselves all the time, but don’t necessarily do.
So here’s a roundup of my top picks for your special Valentine who just so happens to be an entrepreneur!
#1 Candles, lotions, perfume or any type of bath related item:
It doesn’t matter if it’s a beautifully calm and relaxing scented candle, a beautiful fragrance or fancy perfume, there’s something about any type of bath or body related product that I absolutely love to indulge in. Any and believe me any female entrepreneur knows what I’m talking about. There’s nothing better than running a hot bubble bath, lighting a candle and just zoning out. Sounds like the perfect V-day in my book.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Volupsa Candles: These smell amazing, and you can’t really ever go wrong with a sampler. Plus the packaging is gorgeous!
Jo Malone Candle: These are the ultimate in luxury candles. Perfect gift item as they are a bit pricier but so worth it!
#2 Journals, planners or anything organizational related
I know, I know, this gift idea seems silly, but trust me.. that us entrepreneurial women love this kind of stuff. It may not be the most romantic, but it shows that you care and understand how much planning and organizing it takes to running a business.
Shinola Journals: Simple and high quality at it’s best.
Brahmin Journal: For the girly girl who likes luxurious journals.
Another odd idea I know, but books can be such a great gift item. Whether it’s for that special someone or a badass friend you want to surprise on V-day, a book is a simple and sweet way to uplift someone and give them the hope and positive vibe of what’s possible.
Here’s one of my favorites that I’ve recently read for the empowered female spirit.
Another great option is Danielle Laporte’s “The Desire Map” which is all about finding your true joy and vision of your life all while figuring out how to bring to life. A must-have for your goal-setting entrepreneur girlfriend/wife/daughter/friend!
#4 Coffee Maker, or french press
Always a practical yet thoughtful gift is a fancy schmancy coffee maker. For the coffee-loving entrepreneur you really can never have enough.
The Pour Over Coffee Maker for your modern lady entrepreneur
For the Classic Coffee Lover, nothing says Happy Valentine’s Day like this adorable red Nespresso Maker.
#5 Massage, yoga pass, or anything relaxing
One of the best gifts you can possibly give is a massage. I don’t know that many people who hate being pampered – especially when they’re an entrepreneur. Being stressed out is a real thing so trust me when I say you can never have enough massages. 😉
If you don’t know their favorite spa, you can always give this spa gift card and let them select their favorite. The most simple and perfect gift.
I hope I was able to give you a few ideas for the special entrepreneur in your life! Happy Valentine’s Day!
